It's the screen protector causing the phone to stay black. It's interfering with the proximity sensor. I had the same issue with my case and cut a very small notch from my case and it's been perfect ever since. Posted via Android Central App

I downloaded the app listed above to detect the sensor. I THINK I've fixed the issue as well. Just a small piece of my case was touching the sensor. I cut it away a bit and it has been working perfectly. I feel really stupid now! Posted via Android Central App
