How do I take a screen shot?

Hi there. I'd like to ask if my experience with the nexus 4 battery is normal. My nexus 4 is running 4.2.2. The maximum screen life I can get out if it is 2 hours. All updates are turned off, and the screen brightness is turned right down. So 2 hrs on screen and 11 hours of the phone being on.
