    What's your earliest Android OS?

My first Android version was Gingerbread. I had nothing but iPhones at that point and kinda wanted to switch up. I remember being blown away by the simplest things like switching files, actually sharing a picture (remember that???), changing the look of the phone (thank you customization!!), SD...

Do You Still Have Your 1st Samsung Phone?

My first Samsung phone was the Galaxy S7 and aside from the degrading battery and wonky volume buttons, it works well.

What happened to the small phone?

Ideally, I do prefer smaller phones. However, my current phone is 6 inches yet it is only a hair bigger than my previous phones 5 inches and 5.2 repsectively. I am willing to have significantly more screen real estate if it means sacrificing some one handed usability.

What is your preferred screen size?

Until recently it was a phone 5.2 -5.5 inches. However, my Huawei Mate SE achieves very similar dimensions to my Moto G5+ and Galaxy S7, only being a hair taller.

I am glad that Flagships are removing the headphone jack and adding a notch.

Hear me out! A couple years ago in order to get a good experience you needed to purchase an Android Flagship or an IPhone, essentially paying over $600. Today even budget phones are capable with good displays, good amount of RAM and storage options (4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage)...

Is not flagship phone gap should be 2 years 0r 18 months instead of 1 year

I've been having that lingering thought for a while. I believe the phone market just went too fast and now we are at a time where manufacturers are doing ANYTHING to be different (or the same depending on your outlook). Removing headphone jacks, notches, Animojis, all pointless things to stand...

Not gonna lie, I kinda like the Nokia/HMD 7+

Yeah, so much this. The 7+ is the sweet spot for me. The 8 Siricco is appealing but what holds it back for me is the ergonomics seem underwhelming and there's no headphone jack. The Nokia 7+ looks promising and would be a nice upgrade to my Moto G5+, things like USB type C, Oreo update out the...

Is it worth upgrading to the S9 from the S8? Or just a spec bump?

Yup, exactly this, and it's been like that for quite some time now. Phones have been great for some time now, with the exception of some persisting issues like faster software updates across the board, and even midrange phones are more than capable. Just like most people mentioned already it's...

What is the Best Android Phone under $200?

I know I'm super late to this forum but now that the Honor 7x has been out for over a month I would give the nod to that phone.

    Smartphone interest is dying.

I'm slowly seeing this as a good thing. Yeah, there are some refinements that need to be made like faster software updates across the board, more stereo speakers, but since we're in a mature phone market there's not much more innovation needed unless someone makes a breakthrough. I have had that...

    I tried Samsung Pay today

My issue with Samsung Pay is that it doesn't truly work everywhere (despite what ads will tell you). However the times I used it on my Galaxy S7 it really works well. Loved that I could just swipe up on the screen have my credit card info on the ready and just tap. It's what made me change from...

    can you trust Android Cebtral?

There's plenty of other credible tech sites (Android police and Droid Life come to mind), you don't have to stay here.

Samsung's UI will always be better than stock

Re: i don't understand why people like Stock Android so much? I personally would not pay huge amounts of money to buy a Pixel, I now prefer midrange vanilla Android phones like the Moto G5+ or Nokia 6. I had the Nexus 4/5 and those were amazing phones, especially for the price. Of course they...

Samsung's UI will always be better than stock

Re: i don't understand why people like Stock Android so much? Pretty much a lot of people have said it already but it's much cleaner and minimalist. I had the Samsung Galaxy S7 (Excellent phone BTW) and to date my major complaint was the damn duplicate apps and the needless bloatware. Without...

Why Are Calls Coming Through When I'm On Do Not Disturb?

Depending on the setting you chose, that Foxbat121 shows, you will still have calls go through. Change it to priority and you can manually choose what notifications you want or don't want.
