since the S4 utilizes lock screen widgets, I suggest using the DashClock app, it displays lot's of notifications on the lock screen without removing the clock. check it out here...

It requires headphones because the headphones act as the radio antenna. Without them the phone cannot pick up the radio signal. Posted via Android Central App
