[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

I just released an update (v1.20) that fixes this issue. Please give it a try. It has not been abandoned. I just didn't update because there was no need to update as it was working fine, even with phones such as LG V10 and G5 that were released after the July update. I have been promptly...

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

Thanks for the feedback. If you are on Android 5.0, the volume down key shortcut will not work as it has been disabled by LG. In 4.4.2 it should work fine, although some users (mostly using AT&T variants) have mentioned that volume down isn't working for them.

So it might go off in a few seconds, randomly while works perfectly at other times? It is so frustrating not to be able recreate this issue on my D855 so that I could work on it.

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

I completely understand. I hope one day LG will remove this restriction. Few users have indeed reported this issue. I have been trying to figure out why this is happening but my own G3 doesn't have this issue, which makes it tough to debug.

That is correct. Users with Quick Circle case have reported that the app is not working for them. I think that is a restriction by LG.

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

That is correct Don't worry. Uninstallation is easy. But before that I would like to know some details to find out why it isn't working for you. Is QuickMemo working for you correctly? I mean when you press the Volume Up button, is QuickMemo launching? As for uninstallation, you first need...

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

Unfortunately that is a security limitation of Android. While it is possible for an app to disable unlock (as long as the user is not using a password to unlock), it can only display a screen of it's own. The moment the app tries to launch another app, the lockscreen will come back. I don't...

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

Thanks for the feedback. Which Homescreen Launcher do you use? Some third party launchers let you creat Homescreen shortcut to launch Voice Search (Nova Launcher has this). If that is the case, you should be able to use it with Key Plus.

[APP] Key Plus - Change LG G3 Volume key shortcuts to any app (without root)

Hey guys, I developed this app that will let you change the volume button apps (when phone is locked). Instead of Quick Memo+, you can do the following: Toggle flashlight with built-in option, without touching the screen Launch any app Execute even Launcher shortcuts such as Direct Dial...

Why is my LG G3 battery draining so quickly?

Re: LG G3 Battery Drain + Screen Problems (AT&T) First thing to check will be whether your phone is going into deep sleep mode correctly, which can be done without root. Install CPU Spy Plus from Play Store and check deep sleep timings.

    battery battery saver

Well battery saver is one feature that existed in non-Nexus phones for years. Google is pretty late to join the party. I have also turned it on on G3, even from KitKat. Didn't notice much difference in Lollipop.

    Android 5.0 first/

LG has retained most of the Kitkat UI even on Lollipop. Some of the changes I did notice are with the Task Switcher, Notification Pulldown and Lockscreen. To see Material Design in action, try some of the official Google apps like Google Plus.
