ARCHIVED: [ROM] Stock Virgin Mobile + Xionia Kernel (BETA 2)

I believe Slacker Radio will download and cache songs so that they play uninterrupted if you lose your signal. If you reinstall the app, it doesn't have any songs cached. As soon as you start using the app, it will probably grow in size again. Instead of constantly deleting/reinstalling, you can...

ARCHIVED: [ROM] Stock Virgin Mobile + Xionia Kernel (BETA 2)

Just a quick note: After installing this kernel/ROM combo, I also got a message that I was nearly out of internal memory. I thought this was odd considering this ROM comes without the Virgin bloat and I deleted a further four apps. I also had some stability issues, but that may have just been...

ARCHIVED: [ROM] Stock Virgin Mobile + Xionia Kernel (BETA 2)

This may be a really dumb question, but is the kernel part of the ROM itself? In other words, if I don't like this and want to switch back to my old ROM and stock kernel, do I just need to reflash the ROM? Or will I have to do something special to backup the stock kernel?

Can't receive MMS pix (Virgin Mobile)

I've been having this problem as well. It's not unique to you, but seems to be a network problem. I bought the BB Curve on VM when it was first launched and a similar problem existed. It took a few weeks to iron out the MMS problems, but my service was flawless after that. So, my advice would...

Where is framework-res.apk in LG Optimus V?

Thanks, Shawn. I could not access it before, but I somehow found it after performing a nandroid backup and then extracting the system.img with dsixda's kitchen. No idea why it wasn't there before.

Where is framework-res.apk in LG Optimus V?

I've recently been trying to edit the banner on my LG Optimus V, but have been dealing with a bit of trouble. It seems that the file containing this information (framework-res.apk) is not where it is on most phones (/system/framework/framework-res.apk). I've tried both pulling the file via and...

[How-To] Root the LG Optimus V

As I prefer the do-it-yourself route (hoping to learn more about the process that way), could I obtain the stock image by simply making a nandroid backup of my phone and extracting the boot.img and system.img files? I have rooted my phone and installed superuser + Titanium Backup, but otherwise...

[How-To] Root the LG Optimus V

This question may betray my newness to Android (I bought my first device four days ago and rooted it tonight), but here it goes anyway: I followed these directions to create a stock boot and recovery image before rooting my device: Now, I currently have dsixda's kitchen installed on Ubuntu...
