Visually it's stunning, or at least organized. But, bezel helps for when you need to use a specific angle for a photo shoot or equipment to record video, which I doubt there is a tool properly designed for an edgeless phone.

Insurance would have been helpful but buying a decent case with a built in screen protector alongside the purchase of your daughter's S7 would have helped in advance.

I am absolutely thrilled over their feature phones, they're a true throwback to the golden MOTOROLA age before they went lazy and changed it to just "MOTO" (how stupid and pointless was that?). Ahem, and yes, I look forward to something like this, too.

With all the gesture technology out there smaller screens won't be as much of a compromise for some people anymore, context being those who want an equal user experience on a smaller display.

Would it be possible to use a really strong plastic for the display instead of glass? I've always preferred the Active series as well as Xcover and Rugby, but thin glass on a heftier body irked me more than anything.

True, which is also why people engage in childish phone wars. I missed the design ingenuity of earlier LG, Nokia, and Motorola phones. A lot of Motorola's old candybar phones were designed to collapse apart but be able to look like new later. I do applaud Motorola for their Droid Turbo 2.

This may come across as matter of fact, but people with busy lives damage their phones and not just the screen most of the time. I've seen back covers bent at a severe angle, metallic frames warping, and the touch digitizer losing its bond at one or more corners. OEM's are also incredibly lazy...
