I use ADW launcher just for this reason. The newer versions has an option to backup Desktop config and launcher settings. It has worked for me regardless of ROM I've used. It's also just as fast as launcher pro after you switch up a couple settings IMO.

No way without Froyo. JIT and Flash are parts of my day to day now. Whenever Cyan gets to Froyo it will still take a while to get me back after using JRummy and Bugless. It would have to be a gamechanging feature that no one else has.

Not to get smart but why not use the wireless tether? I used to use PDAnet before my rooting days but was wondering if it had an advantage over just using Wireless Tether after root.

I would hold out for the Motorola Droid X. It is expected to launch July 19th. If I had to choose between the INC or Droid I would probably go with the Droid only because of the price.
