yes, when i change it in the messaging app it changes the default sound and vise versa

So I just recently got an LG V20 and am using the messaging plus app on my phone, any time I try to change the notification for my text messages it changes the tone for the default notification sound, how can I change the text notification so it will be different from the default notification...
