My Tab 3 8.0 was updated yesterday. One thing I noticed, and I am pretty sure ot wasn't there before is that now settings-> Application Manager has On SD Card added to app types along with the current Downloaded, Running, and All. Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk 4

I am assuming you are looking at settings-> storage, which also shows storage taken by videos etc which may be taking space. One other option is to go to settings-> Application Manager and click on an app that you think may be taking quite a bit of data space. There will be Storage section...
