I guess it could've happened by any Google app on my phone.

I notice some people said it was a bug with the app updating, but I have auto updates turned off, so my Google app hasn't been updated since I got my phone, mostly because I never use it. I'm hoping it'll go away like it did with you and the other person.

I just posted a question with the same topic and someone referred me here. This thread really helped me out. I too, just got it out of nowhere. I had never used google speech before, and the app just appeared. It wasn't even another app that had changed, just an app that appeared out of nowhere...

Thank you so much! I just put it into a folder for now, hopefully it'll go away or have the option to not stay on the home screen sometime in the next few days.

But I never opened the app, so I cant turn it off, and I never plan on using the app ever so I just want it off of my screen. I know I can't delete the app from my phone, but I at least want to know if there is a way to get it off of the home screen.
