    Fingerprint Scanner Not Working Well

My suggestion if it's not working well is to delete the registered fingerprint(s) and go through the setup process again. I was having trouble with the right thumb so I repeated the setup process a few times until now it is more consistent - probably now >90% for both thumbs. (As others have...

    Face Recognition

I had this same problem, but I just decided to use my car Bluetooth for Smart Lock, which has been a good solution for me.

Verizon Galaxy S8 Can't find downloaded files ... or any files for that matter

That's weird, I have a "My files" app. Anyway, the other way to get to your files is through Settings: Device Maintenance: Storage where you will find "Documents" under User Data

    S8 / S8+ First Impressions Thread

A couple words on the fingerprint sensor: It is actually really easy to find with a case on, especially since I hold my phone with my left hand anyway. The scanner is small so it only reads a small part of your finger at a time. I will only use my left index finger on it, so I saved 4...

    Most expensive phone ever purchased?

The S6 Edge 64 GB was actually more expensive than the S8 because both the edge screen and the higher storage were extra. Now that the regular S8 has a curved screen and 64 GB, I don't need to pay a premium (especially since the S8+ is way too big for me).

    Sprint Marshmallow update today.

Agree on the better battery life. I love the fact that the auto brightness is now user adjustable - I have been waiting on this feature for generations. (Originally I was confused why my screen was so dim on auto brightness but it was because my slider was all the way to the left.)

Should I switch to the S7 Edge from my S6?

Re: Switch from S6 or not? I wasn't necessarily planning to switch, but the larger battery, better camera in low light, and waterproofing are hard to pass up. I don't at all like the fact that the edge now only comes in 5.5 inches - I will have to use without a case for one-handed use, so...

Early adopters- have you noticed any slow down at all?

There were a bit of lag when I first updated to 5.1.1 but things are running very smoothly now. The battery is noticeably worse since that update, though.

    5.1.1 and background data/battery life

Unlike others in this forum, my battery life on 5.1.1 (Sprint) has been significantly worse than before the update. In particular, my battery life on LTE took a huge hit. The built-in battery monitor was unhelpful, and my sync settings and disabled apps were all the same from before the...

    Galaxy S6 Android 5.1.1 releases

That's frustrating, and thankfully I am not having the notification issue. The phone did feel more sluggish immediately after the update, but I think that has settled down and is back to being snappy. I noticed a dead spot in my LTE coverage on the way to work that I don't recall being there...

How would you change the Galaxy S6?

Loving it so far, with very few complaints. I will second water resistance and customization options in the Themes - for example, the Themes change the Samsung app icons, but how they change the third party icons is often poorly implemented; also I am currently using the "Mexico" theme because...

Forbes calls S6 sales so far "Disastrous"

Some of this is related to the Lollipop update, but the S6 is noticeably faster to use than the S5, particularly in task switching. My battery life is also better than on the S5. My phone is my primary camera, so the better low light performance is a huge deal with me. The narrower build makes...

    S6 edge constantly locating location

If you don't use it, also try turning Location History off in the setting just below that. My battery life improved dramatically when I changed that setting. Posted via the Android Central App

    Ram management question?

There are a couple different issues here: 1. RAM management - as Golfdriver97 said, Android likes having RAM full, so the 600 mb free is not itself a problem. The 5.0.2 build of Lollipop does have a memory leak issue that causes multi-tasking to be slow and not work well (apps refresh when...
