Try this, as it has worked for me. Upload to your YouTube account (you can make it private or unlisted if desired).... The YouTube video encoder will convert (usually) a to compressed H264 codec, and then view from your YouTube account, or reload into phone. Less static, buffering, storage space...

I bought the Galaxy Nexus on release day....although reception was noticeably worse than all other Moto's I've used, it was better than most other people's Nexus. Then dropped that Nexus in the toilet, and my replacement Nexus was much worse in the reception department. Almost no dropped calls...
