I don't think this is the issue either. As I said, adaptive brightness was disabled. So even if it did pick up the extra light, it should've done nothing. I also tested this further by covering the sensor area with a sticker, and the issue still occurred.

Clear the cache for what? As I said: "This happens in ANY app, including the device SETTINGS itself." Also, that article doesn't apply to my device, I don't have any way to clear the cache for all apps anyway.
