what cases and screen protectors do you recommend?

Bubbles and a rainbow effect on the screen, plus changing the feel of the screen to the point that it was unacceptable.

AT&T Note9 here, no sign of Pie update.

what cases and screen protectors do you recommend?

I've tried a liquid screen protector on my Note 9... no good. I've tried several cases for my Note 9, the only 2 that are any good so far were the UAG Monarch, and the Samsung Rugged Protective Cover. You can't go wrong with either of these, especially the UAG Monarch. Both cases have a big lip...

Aux on phone dirty or broke

Is there a lot of dust/grime in the port? If so, blow it out carefully with compressed air (or better yet have a professional clean it out for you). Dust and dirt cause problems in any holes in a phone-- headphone jack, charging port, speakers, microphones, etc. Use a flashlight and check for...

Note 9 is not a major upgrade from Note 8

I disagree (kind of) that upgrading from the N8 is a bad idea. Yes, it's mostly the same, but the bigger battery actually does add up. Your phone dying at 5 or 6PM vs making it to the end of the day really does help. Also, the fingerprint scanner on the Note 8 was super inconvenient, the Note 9...

    Optimal Battery Level/Longevity

Besides, didn't Samsung promise 95% battery retention after 2 years after the Note 7 as a part of their new battery testing? They just didn't publicize very well. Right now, I'm trying to keep my phone between 85-90% and 40%, but I'll charge to 100% if I know I've got a big day ahead. Charging...

So what changes would you make to the Note 9?

The only thing I'd ask for is a more durable phone. A way to make the glass more durable would be great so I don't have to obsess about literally every bump breaking the glass. Beyond the durability issue, the phone is literally perfect. It fixed my two complaints about my Note 8-- battery...

Not again... Note 9 Fire Alleged in Lawsuit

Exactly. There are isolated incidents with every phone. But because of the Note 7, the press already sees one phone as a trend. Go and Google "Note 9 Fire"-- you'd think there's a worldwide epidemic of exploding Note 9s. One article's title begins with "Be Afraid". I mean, if there was a...

Not again... Note 9 Fire Alleged in Lawsuit

Exactly. I'm not really worried that the phone explodes-- Samsung has done so much to prevent it. And one time-- it could've been fake, OR the phone could've been damaged in transport, a knock-off (I've heard that a knock-off Note 9 DID smoke), or some bad charger, bad repair, or just bad luck...

Not again... Note 9 Fire Alleged in Lawsuit

Exactly. Thinking about it more, the claim that Samsung knew of and concealed some issue sounds unlikely, and makes me question the validity of the claim. Obviously, Samsung appreciates that another Note 7-type recall would ruin their reliability, and would certainly err on the side of caution...

Not again... Note 9 Fire Alleged in Lawsuit

I've had a Note 9 for about a few weeks now. I really don't want to have to return it, because it's by far the best phone I've ever owned (even strides ahead of my Note 8 last year, especially in terms of battery). I know Samsung has a bad track record when it comes to putting big batteries in...

Do I need to worry about bending w tight case?

I'm specifically worried about bending the phone while removing the case. I know a regular case wouldn't just bend the phone on its own.

Lifeproof Case w/ Note 9 Question?

Also, I got a (relatively) cheap Gear4 D30 "Picadilly" clear case, supposedly rated to 10ft. Anyone know anything about Gear4?

Lifeproof Case w/ Note 9 Question?

I'm most curious about whether the design of having a rubber "flap" covering the charging port, whether it's on the lifeproof or Otterbox case. Could it possibly damage the charging port itself? (I don't care about the cable, those can be replaced, but the charging port can't without wrecking...

Lifeproof Case w/ Note 9 Question?

I use wireless charging most of the time. But not all of it. I just want to make sure that the case won't wreck my charging port if I cable-charge once in a while. Also, if I may, why did you return it? Is there something wrong with it? Thanks
