Very late reply here, things are much better with rapid response times since we switched to MintMobile. They use T-Mobile's towers which are closer in range to our home neighborhood...

Just figured out how to disable Samsung Daily! First one must tap the agree button ... then deselect all the apps offered... seriously none of them are of interest... THEN one can go into the Apps and remove all permissions, clear cache, delete data and force stop Samsung Daily...

we're just in the habit now of using MeWe for messaging between us..

AT&T is the carrier, things are a bit better now that we have wifi-calling enabled... but some days we drive down the road towards town and get a flood of messages ... ... ...

No apps are loaded onto the card, just photos and videos... turns out the phone isn't the problem, the SanDisk 128GB microSD card is dying... :( oh well, prompted me to triple back up all of my photos... :cool:
