Drag down from the top right hand side on the notification bar to pull down quick settings, then tap Settings. Scroll to the bottom where it should say About tablet, and tap that. Then, press what should be the very first option, System updates. From there, you'll see a button that says Check...

I just got the update over the air for my Nexus 7, installing now. Still waiting on the Nexus 4 update, though. Here's my method. I hear sacrificing a unicorn can help push the update faster. Although that may just be a coincidence.
