When you run z4root make sure you unmount your sd card. It will not work properly if you don’t.

Out of curiosity are you unmounting your sd card? If not try that and see what happens. I’ve done 4 evo in the last 2day with the same hardware and software as yours..

So I was able to Temporary root my phone with z4root and i got the wife tethering. To work with no problems. Only why to get it to work was restart my phone and hold up on the volume button and power it up and then select fast boot the it loads and z4root works just starting the phone it does...

How do i install z4root.apk to my evo? am new at this and i have the EVO with the same configurations so i would like to see what mine will do... Thanks Ok so I figured how to install z4root and the wireless tethering but no go. Am in the same boat…
