should change settings in the menu. otherwise i would recommend using SwiftKey. sometimes I can just press one key per word like i just did. fast and customizable. Samsung keyboard and the Android keyboard frustrated me too much

When my S4 ROM flash failed, the backup file from CWM recovery still had all of my apps, even frozen apps, which are just disabled, it still stored all info settings and everything except text messages IIRC. ChainFire worked for me yesterday on my friend's S4, It was a simple file dump with Odin v3.7. Success. ROOT. Later when you want to flash a ROM, just make sure when you download the CWM 6 recovery for your phone in download mode, then uncheck the "Auto-reboot" buttton off or it will revert...

what version firmware are you using? with my buddies GS4, I just did the CF-Root package and file dumped it via Odin 3.7. success.

Re: How to avoid KitKat 4.4.2 update? Man, the CyanogenMod11 Kitkat ROM is worth the work! OTA KK comes with a whole brady bunch of samsung apps, google everything...I used to have JB 4.3 and KNOX was a b**** to deal with. glad im running CM11 now. Some days i dont even need to charge my phone...

Try it with the sd connected. ALSO you need to download the samsung USB drivers, or use Samsung KIES for it to work properly. You can unlock the Developer's options in the settings menu by pressing the build number several times, and then toggle the USB debugging ON, see if that does anything.

You can do that by USB TETHERING. I dont know if the note 12 has that built in, or you need root access?

what are you using to backup your ROM?

Its the security system ie. ft.knox. It blocks unverified sources and secures your personal billing info and stuff. storage/emulated/0/knox if i recall correctly. personally I dont like it, for annoying privilage reasons...but it makes it more difficult to root and rom.

DELETE all the games, useless apps, etc...its usually from an app you downloaded. - - - Updated - - - also check what is running with a task manager before deleting everythign
