Nexus 6 Recovery always on Formatting /data.. in yellow text, any ideas?

Nexus 6 Recovery always on "Formatting /data..." in yellow text Hi, I have new Nexus 6 with custom Recovery and rotted, stock 5.1 ROM. I was just setting the phone up for the first time, when I had to reboot. Upon reboot, I was informed that my data was corrupt and I would have to reset my...

Rooting your Nvidia Shield Tablet [ROOT]

Given Nvidias enthusiast roots, I would have like to have seen them supply an official rooting method, such as entering a root code as with some Sony devices. It would be nice if we were treated a bit more like adults and allowed to take this step without jumping through hoops and run the risk...

    Update Custom Rom to KitKat

Hi, What is the way to update from Android 4.3 to 4.4 that has the best chance of maintaining all ROM and app settings - Sideload or update from a ROM file stored on the device itself? I will be updating a SlimBean version of 4.3 from to the SlimBean version of KitKat. Thanks.

Since then, we seem to have trespassed onto fanboy territory - and that's never a good place to be as it seems always yo lead yo personal insults and meaningless '...my whatever is better than your whatever...' rants and jibes. My general rule...

Get this crap off my phone!

Best thing to do is root the phone and install Titanium. That allows you to uninstall any app you want, including carrier bloatware and system apps, if you want. Best to backup your ROM first, though. Again, your phone needs to be rooted before you can do this. Sent from my Nexus 4 with Tapatalk

    Unfortunately [everything] has stopped.

It may Aldo be worth just clearing your Dalvik cache now, without going anything else. A lot of info on the internet suggests that this could be a cause of a number of problems when changing ROMs. Also, if you do manage to get your phone up and running again, it would be worth doing this on a...

    Unfortunately [everything] has stopped.

Just a suggestion, but wipe tit phone - including the cache and the dalvik cache (This can sometimes be done from Recovery. Depending on your recovery version and make.) Then re-flash your ROM and keep it stock. Do not add any Apps at all. Maybe even don't set jon your Google account or wi-fi...
