Thanks vVick3d. I noticed that the ambient temperature also plays a huge role - it stays around 32-35 C if I charge it in an AC room (eg. my office).

Just to add some perspective, my old Nexus 4 charges at 36 C. And did I mention, the Pixel does 43 C even when its powered off? Just want to be sure this is happening with all Pixels out there.

My 4 week old Google pixel consistently overheats every time I charge it using the box charger. So far I have tried: - Charging in safe mode - Charging in power off mode ..with no help. I have Battery Doctor installed that tells me the temperature is between 42-44 degC throughout the 1.5 hrs...
