Good news. I got my ota update today. Guess AT&T doesn't know or doesn't care that I am on Straight Talk.

Maybe the have halted the update if people are having problems with it. I am wondering if even on wifi if they can tell you are not using an AT&T SIM. Just as long as I can get my JB update via Kies when it comes out, that is really all I care about.

I have pretty much concluded that AT&T's OTA update servers are able to tell that I am not using one of their SIMs and therefore will not push updates to my phone. I connected my phone to Kies today and it did show one update (the one that kills off universal search) but not the one that gives...

I am planning to take my AT&T branded GS3 to Straight Talk and the news is that Jelly Bean is comming soon. Does anybody know if I will still get OTA updates from AT&T?

I have been really impressed with the TPU cases from Diztronic. Very low profile and don't attract lint.

Just wondering who is using these settings and what (if any) performance degradation or other problems have you noticed from using them?

I may be smoking something but I think I like the screen better than the one on my HOX. The issues that caused my to not like the screen on the GNex seem to be largely resolved.

I preordered the GS3 today. I will keep a close eye on the calender and if I am not happier with it I will keep the HOX and return the GS3. The main reason I am considering switching is that I HATE what HTC has done to the multitasking on this phone. It almost becomes task switching. Also...

I am thinking of buying an unlocked version of this phone to use on AT&T. I know that it supports the necessary frequencies but I have one concern. Will I get updates if I run it on AT&T?
