    What's "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode"?

On AT&T, that also enables RCS functionality in Android Messages, at least with other AT&T subscribers.

    AW 2.0

When I tap the check mark to download the update, my screen just turns solid white until it times out and turns off. When I turn it back on, it's back to the home screen with no indication anything is happening. Has anyone had this happen and found a work-around?

long text messages from iphone recieved as multiple short messages

That's normal. SMS has a limit of 140 characters per message, so longer messages get broken up. Internet-based messaging, like Hangouts, WhatsApp, Signal, etc., don't have that limit.

    Transplanting a leather back?

Is it feasible to transplant a leather back from one Moto X (2014) to another? My wife cracked the screen on her customized X with a red leather back, which is no longer available from Motomaker. So I'm wondering if I could buy a plastic backed model from Amazon and transplant the leather back...

Upgrading to Gen 2, have some questions and need help.

I thought the performance on my original 360 was perfectly adequate, though it would show some lag from time to time. My 2nd gen is noticeably smoother still. I don't notice any lag at all, and really can't imagine needing any more CPU power than it has. The tilt to wake feature seems to...

"Charge your watch to receive update"

Once you charge past 80%, you can take it off the charger and interact with it to install the update. Posted via the Android Central App

Upgrading to Gen 2, have some questions and need help.

I was an early adopter of the gen1 360 with metal band (silver) and acquired a men's 42mm gen2 with leather band (black) just three days ago (my gen1 is still going strong so I plan to keep using both). I've been researching bands since I got the new one, so I can report that the 46mm men's uses...

Your thoughts on the Marshmallow "update"

Your thoughts on the Marshmallow "update"

I agree it's more like 5.2, but it's been a worthwhile update for me. I can see a difference in battery life on standby, though only on standby. I like the new permissions system. The only downside so far has been the transfer of those Moto Assist functions to the OS, where they don't work as...

Battery bug still alive and kicking in Marshmallow

Has it been established for sure that it's a software bug and not a defect in the battery circuitry? Seems like the latter would better explain why some have it and some don't. If it were software, I'd think we'd all have it. Posted via the Android Central App

Battery bug still alive and kicking in Marshmallow

FWIW, I don't have this issue on my 2014 PE. I can run down to 1% without the phone dying. When it does die though, it really DIES, without doing a proper shutdown. Same behavior on 6.0 and 5.1. Posted via the Android Central App

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X (2nd gen)

Does having active notifications flashing on the lock screen, or using Wave to Wake, prevent Doze from engaging then? Posted via the Android Central App

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X (2nd gen)

What is the battery bug, exactly? I got a 2014 PE on the recent Cyber Monday sale, which came with 5.1 out of the box, and the battery seems great so far. Posted via the Android Central App

Wood or leather retrofit on the 2013 X?

Does anyone know whether it's possible to retrofit a wood or leather back onto a 2013 X that came with a plastic back? Posted via the Android Central App

Moto X (1st gen) 5.1 Lollipop: Does the wave-to-wake sensor work the same in Lollipop?

I wonder if it might be a power saving issue; the 2013 X doesn't have the infrared sensors that the 2014 does, so the 2013 was presumably keeping the camera energized all the time to enable wave to wake. My battery life does seem better on 5.1. But I do miss wave to wake. Posted via the Android...
