I m facing the same problem. I use da dual sim version in India.. Getting only 2g even after upgrade to Kitkat. Moto care guys are clueless.. *#*#4636#*#* isnt working.. m using sim 1 for net access..

Hi.. Got my MOTO G last week.. bt m unable to select 3G as the prefered network type. I untick 2G but da moment i go back it again logs in 2G mode. I got Android 4.4.1 update yesterday n stil I m facing da same problem. I use Tata Docomo from last 1yr in my Galaxy tab and never faced ds problem...
