I haven't had the issue at all since replacing the SIM card, I really do suggest you start there

Your carrier should send a new SIM for very low cost (or free if you ask nicely) so it is a good place to start. It definitely cured it for me

The only thing I can think of now is that it's a UK sim but roaming internationally i.e. not in the UK
