Got a very interesting call from a local VZW store manager. I explained to him some hardware and software issues ive been having with my phones. In the end I focused on the software trouble... He told me to go to the app store and root then hack my phone to run 2.1... er wait a minute? Doesn't...

I dont think its going to be 2.1.. perhaps 2.1.1 or 2.1.2 or 2.2... 2.1 as released on the Nexus is too "old" now. Why introduce such old ****ty code to the DROID? If I was writing software id fix the bugs found in 2.1 and then release that. Lets see how smart google and moto are.

nothing here either. Sure is annoying to have my phone come out of my pocket and the battery door hit the ground. Guess ill call big Red and give them a piece of my mind.

Just mess around with the angle it seems the dock sensor is somewhere just below the flash area on the back.

highly doubtful. Especially since its a magnetic switch in the DROID and not a magnet. All thats happening is the HDD magnet is triggering the switch. Which there are two of BTW.

It doesnt have to be from Verizon, it just has to exist...

If you lay your DROID at a 45 degree angle or so on top of where the HDD is in a MacBook Pro (I have the 17) it activates the magnetic contact and the phone thinks its in the desk dock. Could be cool/useful for some people.

Good call, totally thought I was looking at a micro... 16G is the max.

I was thinking about getting a Kingston 32GB Secure Digital High-Capacity card, but im not sure the DROID would mount it. Has anyone tried something larger than the 16GB that came with it?

I have contacts that contain email addresses of individual contacts of the same email address (if that makes sense) that it wont merge.
