Use my galaxy s for work all day long, really could use this!

I rooted 3 weeks ago, got tired of waiting, had way too many issues with stock 1.5 software that no one would fix, root, and use bittersweet rom 1.2, soon to be 2.0 it is made for cellsouth hero users specifically..by a 15 year old kid btw, phone runs awesome, fast, snappy, and the 2.1 software...

I quit useing the stock weather widget, it never real time updated like i wanted it to. i use weather bug elite, it does follow me on the map as well as update automatically as i pass each tower...very good app, worth the money, it also gives bad weather alerts and amber alerts as well, plus...

If they are happy with their phone and you are happy with yours, what gives? I have htc hero, but love Apple, used to have the iphone, and I miss it, but I do not wish ill on Android. It is there for the geeks, really, and has it's place. I am not happy with Android but for now am stuck with it...

By the same token, if one has to root, to make a phone work, then also big fail. I cannot root my phone, no one has been able to root the version we have on ours, so it is not even an option. My hero can barely do 2 things without gasping and choking to a halt..my iphone 3gs could run circles...

well even my htc hero cannot multitask and it is only 5 months old and cannot access a lot of the new apps. we still have 1.5 and will for the summer.

What do people use now adays? Im 44 but use it about 3 times a week to find and contact high school friends, most of whom i never would have found without it. been over 25 years since i spoke to most of them, great way to catch up at ones leisure, no? i also was able to contact some old military...

HTC charges the carrier...Do you people really think this does not cost carriers anything?????

Expense for the carrier, my carrier is rethinking android os on any more phones. They have to ask for and pay for the updates, then test on their network, a lot of expense for them, they seem to be taken by surprise the amount of people who would want the latest software version. true more...

I had the iphone... also if i quit using the task killer my phone runs incredibly slow. everything takes ages to open. to the point its not useable, so maybe right now it's the lesser of 2 evils. just sucks having less then what i had before, and most of these issues are what i call basic...
