    Stupid patent granted to Apple

Read this. I don't pretend to have a great understanding of the patent system but Nilay Patel is a law grad and he does a great job of explaining it for the common folk. Bottom line: you can say "altered", but "abolished" is simply incorrect.

    Check out my Android pumpkin

So my girlfriend wanted to carve pumpkins this year and when we got to the patch she actually suggested the idea to carve the Android robot. We took this brilliant idea and ran with it. Here are the pics.

    android/google ?

Half of Android owners bought an Android operated device by accident. They don't understand what they own and therefore believe it is an inferior piece of technology. Advertisements of people killing robots with their phone are ridiculous. Google needs people to understand what they have and how...

ICS is ugly. There I said it.

I respectfully disagree. I bought a Nexus S because I wanted a pure Android 2.3 experience back in December. Now - 10 months later - I feel like I'm about to get a brand new phone. ICS is going to be a major upgrade for the Android OS, and I can't wait to use it.

How many of you are happy you got the Nexus S?

I got the NS last December because I knew that when a new version of Android was released I would get an update quickly. Now that ICS is around the corner I feel like I'm about to get a new phone. I'm very happy with my phone.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on a tablet

I think because the event was for the launch of the Galaxy Nexus and ICS, not just ICS, they just focused on the OS as it will be on the Galaxy Nexus. It wasn't just a Google event, Samsung was revealing hardware that they hope can bring in some serious dollars. I don't think they wanted people...

Your thoughts on ice cream sandwich?

I think this is the version of Android that will finally beat the competition in terms of usability and aesthetics, not just power and capabilities. I'm very thankful that they ousted the disgusting "Tron" look from Honeycomb and went with something a little more subtle and modern. Aside from...

    ICS on the Nexus S

ICS is supposedly coming to Nexus S devices a few weeks after the Galaxy Nexus launches. Considering the Nexus S has only a single-core 1 GHZ processor and 512 MB of RAM, do you think it will be able to handle it smoothly? The Galaxy Nexus has considerably better hardware with a 1.2 GHZ...

    ICS "facetime"

The new "People" app they announced yesterday with ICS should address this if I'm understanding you. It is the new stock contacts app and it associates a contact with not only their phone number and email but also any other social networks and such that they are on. This would allow you to view...

    voice actions?

The Google Search bar remains at the top of the screen across all the homescreens in ICS. I suppose you'll just have to press the little mic icon on it instead of long pressing the search button. Matias mentioned in his interview with Josh Topolsky of This Is My Next (here) that he wants to get...

Camera won't take pictures without an SD card

Thanks for the help everyone. The reason he has no SD card is his original broke, then he sent it back with the SD card in it, then they sent him a replacement without an SD card. He made the mistake of not taking the card out before returning the broken phone.

Camera won't take pictures without an SD card

Hi, I'm trying to help a friend get more out of his Droid X. I personally own a Nexus S so I'm not familiar at all with this phone. Any help would be very much appreciated. The problem is he doesn't have an SD card. When he tries to take pictures with the phone it says "Please insert SD card...

WiFi Problem (different from others I've read about)

So I got my Galaxy Tab WiFi yesterday and I love it.... for the most part. When I initially turned it on and tried to sync my Google account I wasn't able to. Eventually I realized that even though it said I was connected to my home WiFi I wasn't getting access to the internet. So I turned on...
