This has been a frustrating thing for me too. What I decided to do when I only need a one day alarm.....OK GOOGLE! "Set alarm for 10 am on Friday January 16." Alarm get's set. And then I change the settings such as alarm sound, tone, etc...still a lil frustrating but hey, it works for now.

It get's hot/warm just sitting there. As I was charging it, it was getting warmer. My phone doesn't do that at all

I purchased my S3 in August (sprint) and I never had an issue with heat. My sister just purchased hers and I've noticed how warm it gets. I wouldn't say extreme. I've checked all background running apps and turned off S voice, NFC and S beam but it still get's warm. I've even forced updated...
