HTC needs to release the same phone across all carriers. That would align with their philosophy of focusing the product line. If the One X comes with Krait, the multimode modem should mean that the phone works on all carriers I think.

I've found that battery life is dependent on number of apps installed on top of Just usage. There's also a nice post by someone over at Anandtech regarding the OS giving UI the same priority as apps, and thus the phone still lagging, even with gpu acceleration, if many apps are installed...
