Battery health on my p4xl has dropped significantly in last few months. More motivation to take the p7 upgrade offer. Condolences to whoever ends up with my trade in.

P4xl 128gb = $325 credit towards P7 (+$100 google store credit), so time to jump for me. Noticed the P3XL would still get $275 so may be another year of good trade-in value for the P4 towards a P8.

Google store has been offering good trade in deals on older pixels towards a P6a. They offered me $250 for a P4a5g with a cracked screen. May be tempting if they continue those offers on P7.

Did you go to settings - system - system update, check for UPDATES? Manual check got my update going. I'm on cricket in IL. Bought my p4xl unlocked from Google. My phone says it has June 5 2022 security update. Anyone here likely wants to be on the latest, but I don't think our p4s are up for...

I guess I should have run through checkout -- I could only get bestbuy to offer $85 for a P4xl 128GB. Don't know what kind of combo you would need to get to $300. So that settles that - P4xl forever or until...

At BestBuy site (likely US only), you can trade in a P4/XL for up to $300 towards a S22 and other galaxies. Haven't seen that amount for awhile - as I recall, google was only offering $150 towards a P6 upgrade. Hard to trade in my p4xl that continues to just work, but tempting.

P4xl forever... or until the battery goes out, 5g becomes important, android after updates end is compelling, or I get envious of everyone else having new phones. Glad I didn't need to get a p6.

Cbreze, yes that is the screen. Apps I have used including AccuWeather and wunderground only recognize GPS when I switch precise location on. Haven't tried weather Channel. So I assume apps can tell if they are getting approximate location and don't like it. Maybe approximate requires recompile...

I was looking forward to switching some apps to android 12 approximate location, but it seems even weather apps think they need to know my precise location. Android 12 should have made this setting invisible to apps. Apps don't need to know if I think approximate is sufficient for their function.
