Try formatting using a PC. Most probably the SD card needs to be replaced. I thought only samsung phones "eat" sd cards.

I thought s/n 505 & 506 were the only ones affected by the bootloop issue. My first g4 was a 505, new one is 508. Seeing 509's are also conking out now im worried.

For me it was a very hot day and the g4 was exposed to high temp prior to the bootloop

Mine heats up when playing games. But still manageable.

We have the same exact situation. Old g4 had a bootloop. Got a replacement one. Been ignoring the MM update notification eversince.

Get the V10. At least its a bit newer than the g4. Plus it doesnt have the boot loop issue.

Im a g4 user. But i would suggest getting the newer v10 or if not the g5.

G4 still has the best camera. But dont expect it to produce the best images. Its still up to the user. Its like buying a sports car and expecting yourself to instantly become a driving god. Of course you have to know how to handle the car properly to make the most of it.

Good job on improving the g4's battery life on MM. What's disappointing with MM is the amount of effort you need to put in to achieve acceptable battery life. I have done my fair share of tinkering to improve SOT on my 1st g4. I'be probably followed all the articles i can find on the web which...

Nope. Unless to submerge the phone in water for a long time.

Memory is built in to the motherboard. Only way is to replace it as a whole. Assuming you know how. Otherwise you better contact your carrier or LG and request for a warranty claim.
