I did the same. Thought for sure I'd be going to the new Note, bought the G2 as a stopgap. However, I thought the Note 3 felt cheap, the phone UI was horrible (and I don't like other launchers) and the killing blow was the camera. The Note 3 camera is actually worse than the S4 in my opinion...

It's funny how varied people's opinions are, but I guess the beauty of pictures is definitely something that is in the eye of the beholder. :-) I think that just proves the best thing is to try the camera for a few days and see what results you get. I'd hope the Note 3 can match the S4...

I would say it equals the S4, but the G2 camera is much better in my opinion. I wasn't too impressed with the Note 3's camera in anything other than great lighting. It's the main reason I returned my Note 3...

I agree with everything you've said but I think the OIS saves me a lot of blurry pictures... I guess I just have trouble holding steady for a picture! ;-) Really wish the Note 3 would have came with OIS as rumored. There's always the Note 4.... :-)

I have both and I'm trying to decide. For the LG, I really like the size, bezel and the camera is much better than the Note 3 in my opinion. (Maybe because of the OIS?) The Note 3 is fast, looks decent, I like the s-pen and the screen is very nice also. Not a fan of the Note 3 back panel...

I have both, trying to decide which to keep but G2 is winning so far... Small bezel makes the screen feel big enough for me and I think the camera is much better than the Note 3. I had the Note 2 but mostly bought it for screen size and didn't use stylus too much.

There the Note 3 kills the G2 in my opinion... The G2 even has problems focusing sometimes during video. I rarely take video though, so the camera shots are more important to me. EDIT: I have to add a disclaimer; I am a point and shoot picture taker and usually use auto. EDIT 2: Another...

I'm in the same boat.... I took a bunch of pictures with my Note 3 and I think the camera on the LG G2 is a lot better also. The G2 was supposed to be a temp thing until the Note 3 shipped, never thought I'd like a LG phone as much as I like this guy.

Everything I've read says it is software, not hardware.
