Has anyone dropped their Note 3 yet?

I'm 5'4'' and I've dropped mine from standing chest height onto low-pile carpet and rugs so far. No bare hard surfaces yet. Using a Spigen SlimArmor case and BodyGuardz tempered glass screen protector. No damage at all so far.

What do you miss about your former phone

I had a Note 2 and wish I'd never gotten rid of it. It was a such a solid and reliable build both hardware and software wise. Great battery life, sound quality, snappy response. I guess I'm going to have to break down and root the Note 3 as well, but it's so much trouble to deal with.

Honest opinions about the audio quality

There are/will be workarounds for that. I had rooted my Note 2 and ended up needing to return it for warranty replacement because the bezel was coming loose from the body of the phone. I had to unroot and install Triangle Away to reset the counter and remove evidence that it had been rooted. I...

    Paid apps

I didn't get a play card :( But a couple paid apps I'd recommend are: --EasyTether Full ($9.99). This is for people who don't have their device rooted or have no plan to root at all, but still want to use their phone as a modem if they're in a bind. All that's needed is the software on your...

Honest opinions about the audio quality

I went from the Note 2 to the Note 3 (both on AT&T). The Note 3 comes with a stock equalizer. On the Note 2 I used an equalizer app and a compatible music player. The Note 3's music quality is not that great through any source (Bluetooth, headphones, speaker). The speaker and headphones aren't...

    spare charging cable?

I have a spare 3.0 cable for charging in my car. I will recommend to take the consideration of a case and the thickness of the USB cable's end in mind. I'm using a Spigen SlimArmor case currently and the end of the eBay cable has to be pushed in more snugly because the resistance of the stiff...

    First "Phablet"... Anyone else?

Mine first "phablet" was the Note 2. So I was already used to the bigger size by the time I got my Note 3. I love the Note line and don't even use my iPad anymore because the Note does all I want in a more compact, more easily transportable device. The battery is decent (it was better on the...

Don't be shy... Who is going Naked?

I'm using a protective case (I always do with phones that cost several hundred dollars out-of-pocket). But I've also just ordered a new Durango and the storage space up front is limited. I've gone back to looking at car mounts for phones and the one I want looks like it works best without a case...

    I dropped my phone.

-_-' *sigh* the S View cover is not a case. It doesn't offer any real protection to the phone at all (maybe if you dropped it and it landed perfectly face down without the flap coming open during the fall). It really irks me when people are like "OMG I dropped my phone and the screen shattered...

    Screen

Same here, no auto brightness on. When I hit the power button to wake up the screen, it's like the screen flashes bright before dimming to it's normal setting. Even after the recent update, it still does this.

How is Email handled compared to Blackberry

I already tried all that stuff with the settings, and doing battery pulls, believe me. I exhausted every effort to get the stock email app working. Which is why I have the Outlook app now. Maybe the most recent update fixed the issue, but I'm too irritated and fed up with the stock app to even...

How to get a deal on Note 3

Re: How to get a deal on note 3 You could sell your old Note on a local for sale page on FB or Craigslist and put that money towards the cost of a new one. I sold my Note 2 for $400 and it covered the upgrade cost and also the cost for a few accessories. I don't recommend the trade-in program...

How is Email handled compared to Blackberry

I have two hotmail accounts and a gmail account that I use solely for the PlayStore and Lookout app. The stock email app is horrific and doesn't receive emails automatically (has to be manually refreshed). I had to download the Outlook app to start getting pushed emails. They're timely as well...

    Quandry - iPad 4 or Note 3?

I have an iPad 2 and once I got my Note 2, I never used the iPad. The same goes since I've had my Note 3. The Note 3's screen is big enough and the battery lasts long enough to suffice not carrying a tablet around.

    Note 3 eating MSD cards?

I have a cheap, generic, no-name 64gb MSD card I got off eBay just for the Note 3. I used a 32gb MSD card in my Note 2 and when I got my Note 3 transferred all the data straight to the new card. Most of the pictures, music, videos, etc didn't show up on the Note 3. But I put the old 32gb card...
