I'm on Captivate 2.2. Rogers wireless has an update to 2.3. I also want to ROOT my phone using the superoneclick root method. If I ROOT 1st - does it carry over when I update to 2.3 - If I update 1st to 2.3 - I dont see a superoneclick root method to perform ?

I had Rogers do the 2.2 update 4 me for free because im computer illiterate. So if I do this update to 2.3 myself using Kies ~ will I lose all my apps contacts settings etc... ? Also any other warnings when using Kies ~ is it a easy one~click ? I dont know im stupid so I need to ask stupid...

I had all those problems. Simply take it in to Rogers - they'll do it for free and you wont lose anything. I did on Feb 15 th and eveything is fine, battery, speed, smooth scrolling.
