I have a few years old Blackview BV9900 that originally came with version 9 of Andriod. They are not supporting the phone and are not pushing any updates. Is there a way to upgrade to one of the latest versions of Andriod as some app are dropping messages that they dont support the OS9 any...

It works w verizon. I had to try 3 sim cards before they found the right one that works on their system. Only issue is that some iPhone X models fail.

The other work around that seems to work is to simply turn off the wifi which forces the phone to use the network for everything. With the wifi disabled it all seems to work, slowly, but it works. No HD calls when configured this way, but hey it works for now. Some apps are very slow this way...

LTE Enhanced is toggled to allow me to call when off, then back on when I need to text! Thing is NOT working correctly!

ITS NOT WORKING NOW! Its even worse now that the latest update was pushed out. They need to correct this issue with Verizon and Andriod and their phones!!! About ready to go back to the BV9500!

Finally got a response about the calls dropping!!!!! "Hello, customer. We have verified this problem on BV9900Pro, and if there is a result, we will modify it on all our phones. Is it impossible to send MMS and network after turning off LTE function?" So it looks like they finally identified...

Yes same result. Can receive texts and make and receive calls, but cannot send texts. If you have a workaround that would be great. Oh the other issue with being in slot 2 is I cannot use the SD card.

Well, the good news is that the calls works, but nothing else does. No texts. I did not turn off LTE Enhanced, but the phone seems like its working that way. Calls work but nothing else. HMMM, going back to SIM 1

That is fantastic I will try that right now! The most recent update they just pushed out made it worse. Now outgoing calls will fail after a few seconds, even after they connect. Like it fails for a bad connection in analog days. I then turn off the LTE Enhanced again to make and receive...

Just an update.... Blackview had me get into the engineering menus to try and send them the data on the failed calls. Sent over a few files as requested and they claim the data was no help. Now looking for a video showing the failure, which is ridiculous as I can take a picture of the screen...

The kicker is that while in the store one iPhone worked. All others failed. No idea why or what could be the issue. Thinking it might be the phone itself?? SIM was put back in older phone and it worked as before. Pointing again to the phones software?? All updates are up to date too.

Yes, the new BV9900 replaced a BV9500. I did swap it back to the 9500 and it would receive calls from iPhones. Its an older andriod verison 8 and this is a 9. Watched it happen live in the Verizon store. The guy helping me had an iphone and was able to connect, but everyone else in the store...
