Have You Gotten KitKat 4.4.1? Thread

I tried multiple ways, same error message. I guess I'll have to wait for the OTA. Thanks. Edit: I got it to work by installing this driver: http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html#top I already had the full ADB installation with drivers, but this new one allowed me to sideload.

Have You Gotten KitKat 4.4.1? Thread

Well, what is the fix? ( I also get the "device not found" message when I tried to sideload. Adb commands work fine up till the sideload attempt. )

    Three Weeks on Net10 ATT

"You should consider AT&T's new plans with GoPhone......." I looked on the At&T site about the plan, but it doesn't seem like they sell a SIM card with it. Do I just buy any old ATT micro-SIM card, buy a cheap GOpPHONE just for the card, or what? Thanks.

Is there a longer charge cord available for this device?

I have both a Nexus 7 and a Nexus 4, and I have been playing with the inbox chargers and cords which came with them. The N7 has a 2 A charger and a short cable, while the N4 has 1.2 A charger and a slightly longer cord. Both cords appear to be the same external caliber. The N4 charges fine...

HSPA+ 42 data speed on Tmobile.

Can someone explain something to me? I had read that T-Mobile uses 1700 MHz for its 3/4G implementation, a band which the Nexus 4 does not support. T-mobile is switching over to 1900MHz (N4 supported) in some locales. So are all you guys with fast downloads in areas with the switchover, or am I...

Where are my ROM Manager Backups in Android 4.2?

I am also puzzled about the new file arrangements in 4.2. I don't have folders /0 or /storage0. However, there are multiple copies of my /sdcard contents under various folders. They are mostly symlinks, I'm sure. My new backups are located in /data/media/clockworkmod. However, they are also...

Google Currents to Blame For Nexus7 Lag After Update to 4.2?

I've been using the stock 4.2 (rooted) for 2 weeks, and the lags are pretty bad. I turned off "Currents" but the lags are still there. I am going back to 4.12. Unfortunately, I had also updated my Clockworkmod recovery, and now have to jump thru several hoops to access my old backups. Newer...

    Where are Nandroids in 4.2

Well, my 4.2 backups no longer go to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup. I can still see them on the recovery "restore" menu, so they are stored somewhere.

    Where are Nandroids in 4.2

I am using Clockwork Recovery. Prior to 4.2, backups are in the Clockwork folder. Since switching to 4.2, I don't see them there. I can still restore, so the back-up files are still present somewhere. Where? Thanks.

    cleaning the screen

Thanks for the answers. I guess my concern is that cleaners may degrade the oleophobic properties of the screen, though any such properties are probably gone in a few months anyways.

    cleaning the screen

I know the standard recommendation is just to use plain water, but has any one come across better cleaners? I use water with a microfiber cloth, but I find that a lot of oily residue remains, and the screen easily picks up new smudges.

How does the official OTA JellyBean run? (put your reviews here)

Sorry, let me clarify. In CM JB, wifi tether kills the data signal.

How does the official OTA JellyBean run? (put your reviews here)

Thanks. I'll try that in a couple of days when I don't need to be immediately available by phone. Does that mean the native tether doesn't work? I ask because on the recent Cyanogen JB mods, activating the native tether kills the wifi signal completely.
