    Shipping notification....Who's first?

I dunno?there is something very ?cagey? in HTC?s press release. Given that they are well aware of the anticipation for the EVO LTE, why didn?t they specifically state the name of the device(s) that have cleared customs? I wouldn?t crack out the champagne just yet.

Re: HTC One X and Evo 4G LTE indefinitely delayed at US Customs f YOU SAID IT!!! Damn right in every aspect! This situation make both HTC and Sprint look like bush-leaguers! Damn embarrassing!

I agree. Personally, I think the EVO LTE is dead in the water...at least as a flagship phone for Sprint. Further, I don't think it is out of the question that Sprint may eventually take action against HTC for monetary damages.

Word is that they currently have 30,000 or thereabouts pre-orders. If they scheduled this launch for Friday, and didn't have at least 200,000 units on May 7th, then they are more irresponsible than I give them credit for.

I couldn't have said it better!

I don't care if the phone ships tomorrow, or a month from now. You're missing the point...Sprint is now sitting on, and earning interest on, more than Six Million Dollars for unshipped pre-ordered goods. Unless Sprint is willing to remunerate, on a per-diem basis, those who have pre-ordered...

    Shipping notification....Who's first?

BUT what IS in your hands is our money!! Is Sprint planning on offering refunds, or rebates to those people who pre-ordered, and whose money you have been sitting on for what will eventually be two weeks to a month? From what I understand, there have been approximately 30,000 pre-orders...that...

I am not sure this is correct. Yes, there is a customs embargo, but as far as I have read, there is no legal injunction preventing Sprint from selling phones that have already cleared customs. Anyone with a legal background care to expand on this?

And now they're getting cute...from the former pre-order page... "Bummer, we're sold out. Please select another device, or sign up and we'll send you a note when it's back on our virtual shelves."

And even more changes... Pre-order link on the "THE EVO HAS LANDED" page has been made inactive.

Additionally... "Pre-order sold out! Our EVO 4G LTE pre-order inventory has been spoken for. Check back soon for the national launch."

THIS IS NEW... "Pre-order sold out! Our EVO 4G LTE pre-order inventory has been spoken for. Check back soon for the national launch." Just went live on the EVO ordering page.

However, for the last several hours, not a peep.

    Shipping notification....Who's first?

This is strange...on Sprint's site, I believe the language in the EVO LTE pre-order has changed.... "Hurry - supplies are limited." Is this new?
