Samsung guy told me because it's USB-C instead of micro USB it charges a "little" faster. IDK if true or not just passing along. Even if true you'd probably have to use a timer or stopwatch to tell the difference. Ftr I went with the older style and it works just fine for me.

I looked seriously at purchasing this one last night, but there were several reviews about the case buckling around the volume buttons (probably because it is so thin.) I may wait until I see if it's just a limited number or a wider design issue. Overall, I much prefer ultra thin cases like...

I usually end up getting 15-20 cases for every flagship phone I buy which is usually 2-3 per year. Most are $5-10, sometimes less. It's a sickness.

You can remove the NFC icon from the status bar. Just swipe down twice and toggle it off. Or do the same from the settings menu.

Re: Will you stick with the Note 7 if there is a recall or get different phone? Me likey my GN7. Will keep. Reports from Samsung are problem batteries are 0.1% of total build. Still a lot of phones but hope they can identify, isolate and resolve. I like my odds, and I love my phone.

I should add I have an iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 7, iPad Mini 3, and MacBook Air, too. I have the same cornucopia of charging paraphernalia for my Apple stuff. It's a sickness.

OP, I could've written your post almost verbatim. Everything you said is how I feel and behave. Except I have rapid chargers in both vehicles, work backpack, desk at work, recliner in my man cave, both nightstands, three wireless Samsung chargers, and about five USB battery power banks in...

Had an M8 and loved it. My daughter now uses it and also loves it. Been going strong since release day in May 2014 I think. Awesome device.
