Why would you even have to go to the store at all? All I did was transfer my SIM card from my old phone to the new. Everything activated as soon as it booted up, LTE and all. Unless you had to upgrade to LTE service, but I already had it, so I don't know.

Well if you're willing to shell out a couple hundred dollars in premium, you can probably get one from one of the profiteers on Craigslist, Ebay, etc. Personally I'd just get in line at the Google Play Store as I'm not willing to spend several hundred dollars more just to have it a few weeks...
