    Thanks, that makes me feel better. However these messages were not in a group message. These were both sent by two separate contacts independently within days of each other. And the messages were at my house on my wifi so I believe connection was not an issue.

    Yes. The fist one I clicked (before I realized what was going on) simply disappeared. I double checked with both contacts and screenshotted the conversation and both confirmed the attachments were not from them.

    No it shows as a file to download and says "No Subject" and underneath says the file size.

    It was a "multimedia" file type. Or at least it said so under details
