If you go into the Apps tab, hit the 3 dots at upper right hand corner to configure apps. There you can specify which (if any) you want to ignore optimizations.

One other thing that was killing my battery was the Google Play Services app. Try downloading GServiceFix if that is your issue consuming battery life. Worked for me.

FWIW, my old blackberry was able to shut down at a specified time and restart at a specified time. I think for Android the best you can do is to shut down functions (wifi, data, etc) at specified times

Were you using davlik or ART? I switched back to davlik and the problem went away.

I did the same upgrade and like both . The opo is indeed a big phone. One neat thing is the one plus one has an adapter for both sized sim cards. Also the sim replacement isnt straightforward and can be put in backwards
