That's odd, because I finally gave in and called Google support. I'm one of those "ordered first thing, no backorder email, no date change" types. After I was put on hold for a few minutes I was told that I am indeed backordered, and will receive my device within three weeks. Still no email...

I don't have much to add except to join in the chorus. I ordered 16gb nexus 4 at 8:35am PST. The order went through without a hitch, and I received the confirmation email. Nothing since -- still pending in Wallet. No backorder email, no ship email. I live in the bay area.
