I've had it happen a few times since purchase. On mine it has always happened when it was left on wireless charger overnight. Doesn't happen often--but when it does, it has always been on charger. No issues restarting, though.

Yes, the new Nexus fits in it and zips up with no problem. ($14.99 WalMart case) I'm using it as my transport case until I find a permanent solution.
