It is a bug. I am experiencing it as well and have found others posting the same issue on different forums. The only option for now is to use another app. I like Google Messenger but I'm now using Textra. It isn't too bad.

To fix this issue on lollipop. 1. Goto application management and disable S Voice 2. Reboot 3. Goto Google Now, the Always On feature will no longer be grayed out 4. Turn it on I saw this fix buried somewhere on a thread; I tested it myself and it works. I am on ATT Note 4 with Lollipop.

Disable S Voice in app management and then reboot. Always On will no longer be grayed out in Google Now settings.

Do any of you have an issue where the phone screen turns on and off (and beeps) when it reaches 100% charged using a Qi charger? I am using the official Samsung wireless back cover with a Nokia Qi charging pad. When the phone reaches Charged, it will turn the screen on, then it'll say Charging...

I am having this problem right now. It wasn't doing it when I first installed the app but now I am getting the group messages as I should, but I also get an extra message for the sender as well with a "download failure". Super annoying. I might have to investigate Textra.
