I did and no luck. I remember that when I first got the N7 I also had WiFi issues with it initially. Changing the security settings on the router from WPA to WPA2 fixed it. Problem is, trying that same trick on the extender's settings hasn't work! I'm about to email Asus and see what they have...

Dude! You bought a 7 yrs old a Nexus? You can set it up so it will require a pin # for any purchase from Google Play. But your kids will be able to install anything that's free whether is apps or games.

What are the security settings on your router? I know on mine I had to go from WPA to WPA2. For some reason the N7 just won't play nice with WPA settings. Hope that helps.

What are your router settings? The N7 seems to like WPA2 settings better.

It's weird how some people are having so many issues. I guess I am lucky cause I only had problems with 3 apps. So yes, it must really be frustrating.

Well, after reading all of these comments I realize that it could always be worse. I'm only having issues with a couple of apps but some of you guys are really hating 4.2. I had no idea.

OK, but I could've swore that Kobo just updated to be good with 4.2. Hopefully it's only for a couple of days.
