There is definitely a dedicated button on P7.

I recall that being an option with my P7 as well.

I've had mine setup for a couple days, have not experienced any heating up and fine battery life to be better than what I was getting on my P7.... Which BTW did have issues with heating up.

Face unlock was for P7 models. Helps to significantly reduce any fingerprint issues.

I know what you mean about the P6 and fingerprint. Went to P7 to "fix" that, works much better but still need to wet the thumb occasionally when skin is really dry. Info in link below on P8 facial rec...

I guess it depends on what your use is. If not using it then idle becomes the highest usage. Mine right now shows as 13%. Apps show as 34%.0 Oddly the total for use doesn't add up to 100% for everything. Looks like only 65%...

With trade in and gift card, I upgraded from P6 to P7 for a net $27. Well worth it as P7 is now what the P6 should have been. Finger print sensor works 99.9% of the time, and only need that occasionally when the face recognition doesn't work. Seems the modem is also better, not sure if any...
