lol I'm sorry, but that Google Bar has been there since at least the Nexus 4. So that would make this the third release they've 'blown', I suppose. And the difference between this and Touchwiz, in case you missed it, is an unlocked bootloader. That's a huge difference.

Re: transferring texts I'll second SMS Backup and Restore. It's a great program that just works.

Re: Full brightness I agree, full brightness is rarely necessary and generally overkill. It's a bit like the minivan that does 130mph - a nice stat to hang your hat on but not something you'll want to do often. Of course, just because I don't use max brightness much doesn't mean I don't want...
