Unlocked S8 - Oreo + March security update arrived this morning. Can't say I really care at this point. Never dropping another $800 on a Samsung phone to get software 8 months after release, and security updates once or twice a year. Not good enough for a flagship imho.

April 2. Still no oreo update on unlocked S8. Am now running a security patch that is *over* 4 months old. Samsung, you've lost me, WTF are you guys thinking?

Nearly April. No Oreo on the unlocked S8. I give up.

Unlocked US S8. Nothing. Way to go Samsung, make sure your direct customers are last in line.

Contacted customer support. They say Oreo including a new security patch will be released to unlocked S8s this week or next week.

At this point, I believe someone at Samsung just forgot to press a button, and they just don't give enough of a **** for their *own customers* to bother to follow up or communicate anything. It's idiotic.

US unlocked S8: nothing. Way to go, Samsung.

Now they're just torturing us. Sigh...

That's kind of funny. I love the Netherlands, beautiful country! But it is odd that Samsung would prioritize updates in the Netherlands over the US though. ;-) I also use an iPhone for work. My iPhone is on iOS 11.2.6, the latest, which I received *the day* it was released. I think what is lost...

Well said, thank you. I'm on the December 1 security path on my "flagship," unlocked, Samsung-bought, US S8. This is a joke. If you're cool with not getting timely security updates, or don't care much about OS updates, good for you, more power to your laid-back self. I'm not cool with it...

3/11 US unlocked S8. No security update, no Oreo update. Great job, Samsung. :-(
