Hi, I registered to let you know I had the exact same issue with my LG G6 (Aus) and android 9 - but it resolved itself after a reboot. Fingerprint unlocked it, but the pin would just go back to the lock screen. Weird as f.... - happened about the same time (sometime late August from memory)...
